MKFM Review: Silverstone Museum

Rob could not wait to go to Silverstone Museum here is his full review...

As most people know I’m a massive F1 fan and had the privilege of visiting the Silverstone Museum on numerous occasions already since it opened and this weekend was no exception. Whether you’re a Formula 1 fan or simply interested in British motorsport history, there’s something here for everyone. The museum is well laid out and combines fascinating historical exhibits with plenty of interactive displays, making it both educational and entertaining.

One of the highlights for me was seeing the iconic race cars up close, the amazing memorabilia they have on display as well as learning about the history of the Silverstone Circuit, from its beginnings as a World War II airfield to becoming the home of British motorsport. The immersive displays and the thrilling Ultimate Lap experience really made me feel part of the action.

The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable, and the museum was clean, well organised, and easy to explore. I also appreciated that there was plenty of time to enjoy everything without feeling rushed. The café and gift shop were a nice addition to round off the visit.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my day at Silverstone Museum. It’s an engaging attraction that’s suitable for all ages, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and memorable day out. I’d definitely visit again.

Thank you to everyone who made my family and I so welcome once again. Until the next time ‘It’s lights out and away we go’
