Cummins expands battery capabilities in Milton Keynes

    Milton Keynes, Cummins Inc, a global leader in power solutions, has invested in a new, upgraded site for its Milton Keynes battery development operations.

    The Accelera™ by Cummins research and development facility is the result of a £10 million investment in the site and includes new laser welding equipment, additional testing capabilities and a broader range of electrochemistry systems. These capabilities support the continued development of battery pack technologies for the transportation sector and demonstrate Cummins’ commitment to supporting highly skilled engineering roles in Milton Keynes.

    Cummins employs approximately 5,500 people across 16 UK sites, with 100 highly skilled roles located in Milton Keynes, underscoring its commitment to developing engineering talent and clean technology in the region.
