MK Dons have announced the permanent signing of Will Dennis from Bournemouth.

The goalkeeper spent the second half of last season on loan at fellow League One side Leyton Orient where the 26-year-old kept four clean sheets in 15 outings.

The Bedford-born keeper has been on the books at the Cherries since 2016 and has enjoyed several loan spells at Guernsey, Weymouth, Wealdstone, Slough Town and Kilmarnock where he made 36 appearances for the Scottish side.

Dennis has featured in just one pre-season game this term for the Premier League side against FC St. Pauli where he played the second half and kept a clean sheet against the German outfit.

On the signing, Paul Warne said: “I really like the way he plays, he’s athletic, aggressive and front-footed."

The shot-stopper is the eighth signing through the door this summer at Stadium MK.

Sporting Director Liam Sweeting said: “Will joins at a time when Craig is playing very well, so there will be genuine competition for the position. That is exactly what we want within the squad.”
