MK Dons are pleased to announce goalkeeper Connal Trueman will continue his journey at Stadium MK after signing a new deal.
Trueman signed for MK Dons in February, making 13 appearances last season and keeping one clean sheet.
An intelligent 'keeper and a popular member of the squad, Trueman will form a part of Tom Weal's goalkeeper unit, alongside Craig MacGillivray and Seb Stacey.
Joining the Dons from Millwall last season, Trueman also made six appearances on loan with Crawley Town in League One, earning two clean sheets.
Prior to his three seasons at the Den, the shot-stopper was a Birmingham City player, having come through the Blues Academy and making 15 appearances for Birmingham between 2014 and 2022. Trueman has also enjoyed EFL loans at AFC Wimbledon, Swindon Town and Oxford United, as well as spells in the National League and National League North with Solihull Moors and Leamington respectively.
A popular player at Stadium MK, everyone at MK Dons would like to congratulate Connal on his new deal.
On signing a new deal with MK Dons, Connal Trueman said: "I'm so grateful to everyone at the Dons for welcoming me so warmly. It's a fantastic club to play for and I'd like to thank the supporters for their backing last time out in what was a difficult season for all of us.
"We all know what the objective for the club is, and I'm so excited to be a part of this team again ahead of what should be a brilliant season for all involved.
"I can't wait to work with Tom (Weal), as well as Craig (MacGillivray) and Seb (Stacey), we'll be pushing ourselves and each other to be the best 'keepers possible."
On what Trueman will bring to the squad next season, Goalkeeper Coach Tom Weal said: "Connal is a fantastic goalkeeper. He's got heaps of EFL experience and a very good understanding of his game and strengths as a 'keeper.
"All of our goalkeepers will bring something different to the squad, and Connal's analytical approach, as well as his gutsy goalkeeping, will be so valuable to the group next year.
"I'm really happy with our goalkeeper unit for the new season and can't wait to get to work next week."
On keeping Trueman at Stadium MK, Sporting Director Liam Sweeting said: "We've all been impressed with Connal since he walked through our doors late on transfer deadline day! He’s a top character and has bought into everything about the club from day one.
"From saving a penalty on his debut to putting in a commanding performance to secure a clean sheet away at Cheltenham, Connal has already shown his worth in a Dons shirt but still has a lot more to give.
"We now have a really strong goalkeeping group in place ahead of the new season, and I'm looking forward to seeing them compete and bring the best out of each other
