Double-header weekend for Milton Keynes Breakers

MK Breakers face a double-header this weekend as they travel to face Greenwich Titans in the NBL Division 2 before hosting Nottingham Hoods in the Fifth Round of the National Cup.

The Breakers enter the weekend in fine form having won each of their last nine games, scoring over 100 in seven of those victories. The Breakers have also enjoyed high scoring performances from a number of players with five players scoring over 10 points in last Saturday’s win over Cardiff Met Archers.

The Breakers currently top the NBL Division 2 table having won eight and lost one of their opening nine fixtures. Saturday’s opponents, meanwhile, currently occupy eighth in the table having won three and lost five so far this campaign.

Greenwich Titans have recorded wins against Westminster Warriors, Oakland College Wolves and Ipswich Basketball. They narrowly suffered defeat against NASSA in their last NBL Division 2 outing losing 81-79.

Attention then turns to Sunday’s National Cup clash with Nottingham Hoods - who currently play their Basketball in the NBL Division 1. The Hoods have enjoyed a successful start to the season as they currently sit fifth in the table - just two points off top of the table.

The two sides have already met this season back in September as they faced off in the KitKing Trophy. It was the Breakers who came out on top that evening as they overcame The Hoods 93-72.
