Nominations are now open for 'Black Female Pioneer of the Year'.
The theme of Black History Month 2023 is 'Supporting Our Sisters' with a new awards category, 'Black Female Pioneer of the Year'.
Residents are invited to nominate a black woman who has been a pioneer in the city and who has been an inspiration. It could be a mother, a sister, a friend, a teacher, a nurse, a business person, and/or a philanthropist.
Once all nominations are received, the highest scoring ten entries will be selected and turned into exhibitions to be displaced at the MK Library and at the exhibition at Middleton Hall.
Amongst the ten, one woman will be selected by the judges to win 'Black Female Pioneer of the Year'.
