Red Bull Racing superstar Max Verstappen has dismissed the latest rumours surrounding team principal Christian Horner.
Despite leading the team from day one in 2005 to multiple Drivers and Constructors World Championships, rumours have spread in the media over Horner's future.
With Red Bull languishing behind McLaren and even Mercedes, sitting third with Verstappen slipping further back from Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, rumours suggested that Horner's job could be at risk if things do not go well at this weekend's Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
However, the team's star driver and reigning four-time World Champion have brushed the rumours aside.
Speaking to a reporter, who asked him about the rumours and potential instability at the team, at media day today, Verstappen commented: "Honestly, I have no idea where they come from, to be honest."
"Naturally, I don't really follow a lot of that at all, so people ask me questions as well about that, and I'm like, honestly, I really don't know who even puts that in the world."
He added: "Of course, as a team, we're not entirely happy with how we are performing, but we're also working on trying to just be more competitive."
"I think if you ask everyone this question, I think no one is happy or satisfied with their performance. You always want to be better, you always want to perform more."
He concluded: "That's what we try to do, so, for me, these rumours don't mean anything."
