Police launch Milton Keynes boat appeal

Officers release image following canal vessel theft in Bletchley.

Thames Valley Police have released a picture of a canal boat stolen from its mooring in Bletchley.

The incident occurred between July and October this year on a private mooring outside the Red Lion pub, when offenders took away a privately owned 50ft long canal boat.

The boat, pictured, is described as blue and purple in colour and has the name ‘Gyrfalcon’ painted on the side over one of the windows.

“I am appealing to anyone with mobile phone, CCTV or dash-cam footage to get in touch with the force in case it has captured something which may assist this investigation,” said investigating officer Detective Constable Jenna Wilde.

“If you have any information relating to this incident, please call 101 or report it online, quoting 43240489970. Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
