Could former Sports Direct site be getting in shape for fitness centre?
The space vacated by Sports Direct in Milton Keynes’ Midsummer Place could be being prepared to become a new gym and health centre in the shopping area, MKFM understands.
If those plans go ahead, it will be the first time the popular retail site has featured a gym for public use.
Hugely successful Sports Direct recently moved from the former Midsummer Place store to a new ‘Megastore’ site within the same shopping centre, next to the Flannels designer fashion and accessories shop.
Both brands are part of the massive Frasers Group.
The new 60,000 sq. ft Sports Direct store offers sports and lifestyle brands from footwear, clothing and equipment, and features other brands from Frasers Group’s family including USC, Evans Cycles, and GAME.
