The broadcast regulator Ofcom have allowed MKFM to increase its FM broadcasting power allowing better reception for listeners across the Borough of Milton Keynes.
MKFM is pleased to announce that our move from Intu Milton Keynes is now complete with a brand new transmitter now fully installed at a new location.
Some listeners may have noticed some interference on FM over the last few weeks due to a mix of adverse weather and our move from one transmission site to another.
Listeners should notice much improved reception as of today as the UK communications regulator Ofcom have awarded MKFM a power increase that increases our transmitter power.
Darren Dorrington, Chief Executive at MKFM, said: "It’s been a challenging few weeks moving our transmitter, the weather has been against our engineers with high winds and atmospheric affecting TV reception through Freeview and some radio stations. The good news is the work is now complete and with our power increase from Ofcom, we should be sounding better than ever."
In addition to 106.3FM across Milton Keynes, MKFM can be listened to in a number of ways as before.
You can listen to us on DAB Digital Radio across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
