Special needs centre requires support for charity funding.
A Milton Keynes school has issued a plea for support to help it get £25,000 of assistive technology equipment.
The Redway School, a special needs facility in Farmborough, Netherfield, says it has the chance to receive the equipment if enough people vote for it via a charity called Lifelites. It’s part of the charity’s ‘Lifelites 25 Community Projects’.
The equipment helps overcome learning and communication barriers. The Lifelites support through EyeGaze systems, switches, interactive entertainment hub and Soundbeam will give pupils a voice and improve access to education, their environment and play opportunities, increasing their wellbeing and sense of joy.
“We need lots of people to vote for us, so we can secure this much needed package,” said Crina Ceocoiu, lead practitioner and class teacher.
“It will really make a difference to our students and the whole school community. Please would you help us to reach out to Milton Keynes Community to support us with as many votes as possible!
Voting closes on Monday 23rd March.
