The campaign will support pet owners to care for their furry family members.
The initiative offers free neutering vouchers to help local cat owners who are on limited income, ensuring that financial hardship never stands in the way of a cat getting the care they deserve.
Over the past year, the RSPCA Milton Keynes & North Bucks Branch has seen a heartbreaking increase in reports of cats and kittens needing help, with more multi-cat households than ever before.
By stepping in with voucher support, the branch hopes to ease the strain on compassionate owners, prevent accidental litters, and relieve pressure on overflowing local rescue centres.
Beyond preventing unwanted litters, neutering is one of the kindest things you can do for your cat’s health. Neutered cats tend to live healthier and longer lives; they are less likely to roam or develop serious health conditions.
"We know how deeply people love their pets, but we also know that times are tough right now for many families in our community," said Jayne Barclay, Chair of the Milton Keynes & North Bucks RSPCA Branch, "With rescue numbers so high, we want to be there for people before things get overwhelming. This campaign is all about helping local cats live healthierlives while offering a helping hand to owners who need it most."
If you live in the local area and are on limited income, applying for a neutering voucher is quick and simple. Just head to the neutering section of the MK & North Bucks RSPCA website to fill out a short form, and the team will review your application.
Successful applicants will be sent a voucher to use at participating local vet practices.
Even if you aren’t eligible for a voucher, the team is available to offer free advice, guidance, and support to ensure every cat in the community gets the best possible care.
