Milton Keynes Police in witness appeal following playground robbery

    Teenager’s trainers stolen by gang.

Thames Valley Police’s Priority Crime Team are appealing for witnesses following a report of a robbery in a playpark.

Police received a report of a robbery on Monday evening, in the park off Harebell Close, Walnut Tree at 7.20pm. The 17 year old male victim was approached by a group of around 10 youths, aged between 15 and 18 years old.

The group of youths demanded that the victim hand over his trainers, as one of the youths pulled out a lighter, threatening the victim with it.

The victim handed over his trainers, a pair of Nike Air Jordan 4 in military black, fearing that the group would become violent if he didn't. The group then left, taking only the pair of trainers. The victim was physically unharmed.

The victim says the members of the group were all wearing balaclavas and cannot provide any further descriptions.

“If you witnessed a large group of youths in the Walnut Tree area around this time or have doorbell footage or CCTV that might help with our investigation, please get in touch by calling 101, quoting reference 43250258879,” said a TVP spokesperson.

“You can also provide information anonymously through CrimeStoppers by visiting https://crimestoppers-uk.org/ or contacting them on 0800 555111.”
