Milton Keynes Dons welcome managerless Bromley to Stadium MK on Tuesday night in Sky Bet League One.
The Dons will be looking to carry on from their 1-0 win away to Stevenage on Saturday, which saw Sam Nombe score his first goal for the Dons since returning to the club in the summer from Rotherham United. The striker headed home with 10 minutes remaining at the Lamex Stadium to secure the three points for the visitors on the road this season.
Bromley suffered late heartbreak against Peterborough at Hayes Lane on Saturday. Michael Cheek gave the home side an early lead after 10 minutes as the 35-year-old scored his first goal of the season. However, Vernon Masara equalised deep into stoppage time for the Posh to give Robbie Savage’s side a valuable point away from home.
Prior to Saturday’s game, Bromley announced the immediate departure of manager Andy Woodman. The club decided to part ways with the 55-year-old after five and a half years in charge, which has seen the club rise from the National League to the third tier, including a final-day win to pip the Dons to the League Two title last season.
In the meantime, Byron Webster is in interim charge of the first team while the club looks to appoint a manager who can help steer the club clear of the relegation zone.
Saturday saw the return of Callum Paterson, who came off the bench late on against the Boro. The Scottish striker is expected to maintain his spot in the matchday squad tomorrow. Ryan Barnett, Curtis Nelson, Rushian Hepburn-Murphy are all expected to remain sidelined alongside Kane Wilson.
The involvement of defender Omar Sowunmi remains unknown. The Ravens’ captain missed out on Saturday’s draw.
The Dons currently sit in 18th place and two points clear of the relegation zone following a run of form that has seen the Dons pick up six points from a possible nine. A win could see the Dons rise to as high as 12th.
Bromley sit 22nd and are winless since September, when they beat high-flying Huddersfield at Hayes Lane.
Tuesday night will be the fifth meeting between the sides. Bromley have won twice, compared to the sole Dons win that came at the end of last season. The other game resulted in a draw.
Scott Jackson will referee Tuesday night’s game. The Englishman regularly referees in the fourth tier and has shown 15 yellow cards and one red card in four games so far this season.
