All lanes have now re-opened on the M1 Southbound in Milton Keynes following a collision.
The collision happened between J15 at Northampton and Newport Pagnell Services.
Emergency services were at the scene including Northamptonshire Police, Northants Fire and Rescue and East Midlands Ambulance Service.
Traffic returned to normal at around 10.30am.
The road re-opened at around 9.20am but six miles of queues remained.
