Local Builders Awarded 'Excellent' for their Consideration of Others
We're delighted that our contractors, Watson & Cox, received an 'excellent' score in the ambitious Considerate Constructors Scheme for our accessible homes project. The inspection celebrated the neighbours' consideration of noise levels, construction traffic management to minimise disruption, and their understanding of and communication adaptation to engage with individuals with learning disabilities.
Camphill MK Wassail Celebrations
We hosted our very own Wassail celebration this week.
The Music and Theatre Workshops warmly invited our community to join them in a Wassail. The Wassail tradition involves music, toast, and spiced apple juice (or cider). It respects the ‘King Tree’ in this traditional ceremony to awaken the orchard and encourage a bumper crop of apples for the coming year. For our Camphill MK Wassail, we had a horse, Dobbin, made by the Backstage Workshop, which led the procession. The Bean King and Pea Queen followed, and our Music Group made wonderful music to encourage spring. We gathered on the green and proceeded down to the orchard to the King Tree, where the Bean King offered toast, and the Pea Queen offered apple juice.

Please Sponsor our Swimmers
Again, we will swim lots of lengths at the 2025 Swimathon. Organised by Milton Keynes Rotary, we have been selected, along with other local charities, as one of their beneficiary charities.
Now in its 31st year, we’re inviting our supporters to sponsor our swims. On Saturday, 22nd February 2025, we will swim in relay for 55 minutes at Wolverton Swimming Pool. The teams are a mix of staff, residents and supporters. We also have an Assisted Swimathon on Saturday 8th March. The Rotary MK then matches every penny we raise, so any donation will really make a difference.
