Take part in IF: Milton Keynes International Festival 2025

From being on stage to creating a flock of paper doves or being part of a catwalk show – this year’s Festival is offering plenty of ways to get creative and get involved….

The Festival’s Creative Producer Rae Lee said:

"This year’s Festival is a fantastic platform for community connection, and our participatory events really embody that spirit. From exploring identity through the clothes people wear to sharing passions at our Cabaret of Ideas, we can't wait to see the incredible things people will create and discover together."

The opportunities to get involved are as follows:

Who’s In Your Wardrobe? Dutch theatre company Zwermers are inviting members of the local community to take part in Who's In Your Wardrobe?, a series of workshops that will lead to two community performances of Pan~//Catwalk at Unity Place on Saturday 19 July.

The workshops and performances dive into the question of what identity means to you and how your clothing choices relate to it. Every day, we're observed and interpreted by others. Zwermers playfully challenges this human instinct, offering a fun and engaging way to explore these ideas. https://ifmiltonkeynes.org/pan-catwalk-community-participation

Calling Out To Young Local Poets This is a chance for a budding Milton Keynes-based poet to perform alongside the Festival’s poet in residence, Maureen Onwunali, at a special evening of performance poetry, Utopia in Verse, taking place at Festival Central in Campbell Park on Thursday 24 July. https://ifmiltonkeynes.org/calling-out-to-all-young-milton-keynes-poets

The Festival is on the hunt for a diverse range of experts, thought leaders and mavericks to join its special Cabaret of Ideas event on Saturday 26 July. It's all about engaging, discussing and sharing their insights in a dynamic, two-way exchange. https://ifmiltonkeynes.org/be-part-of-cabaret-of-ideas
