All lanes have now re-opened after emergency services have rushed to attend a four-vehicle collision on the M1 in Milton Keynes earlier this evening.
It happened on the Northbound carriageway between J14 at Milton Keynes and J15 at Northampton.
Two lanes were closed past the scene, with emergency services and traffic officers in attendance.
The slip road to enter Newport Pagnell Services from the motorway was also closed for a period.
It is not yet known how many people were involved in the incident.
Local residents living nearby reported hearing lots of sirens in the area.
