81 patients currently being treated in Milton Keynes Hospital have coronavirus according to latest data

The latest update tells us that 81 patients being treated at Milton Keynes University Hospital have tested positive for coronavirus, with none currently being treated on ventilators.

The latest data, released by the government weekly, includes people admitted to MK Hospital who tested positive for COVID-19 in the 14 days prior to their hospital admission and those who tested positive in hospital after admission.

The data, which tells us how many patients are being treated in MKUH, tells us that as of Tuesday 25th January, there are 81 patients being cared for in MK Hospital, with none being treated on a ventilator.

This is a jump on last week, where there was 71 patients.

567 positive tests were recorded locally yesterday, taking the total number of cases to 72,477 since the start of the pandemic.

Nationally, 96,871 people tested positive in the UK.

This comes as Plan B restrictions were fully lifted yesterday, masks, COVID-19 passes and work from home measures are just some of the rules that have now been lifted.

All coronavirus data is provided by the government and NHS, no further information is provided on the variant, age, gender or the patients vaccination status.
