More Information (MKFM is not responsible for external websites)
Reducing the energy consumption of our buildings can make a big difference to energy bills, as well as helping to tackle the climate crisis by reducing carbon emissions. Passivhaus is an international building standard that dramatically reduces buildings' heating requirements, while also creating excellent health & comfort levels indoor. We spend over 90% of our time indoors, so buildings play an important part in our wellbeing. Passivhaus keeps buildings cool in summer and warm in winter. It can be applied to both newbuild and existing buildings.
Would-be Passivhaus self-builders and retrofitters have the chance to experience a Passivhaus or EnerPHit (Passivhaus retrofit) firsthand themselves, during the Passivhaus Open Days taking place across the UK this 27 – 29 June. Our project in Great LInford will be taking place in the Passivhaus Open Days. The project is aiming for the EnerPHit Plus standard.
