Harry's Rainbow
Harry’s Rainbow have been supporting bereaved children in Milton Keynes for over 12 years.
Statistics show in the Milton Keynes area alone, on average 100 parents will die in one year, leaving 170 dependent children. The figure does not include sibling deaths. In 2022 registrations to access our service increased by 50% and has remained at this level of demand meaning we are registering over 140 children annually.
We aim to give bereaved children a brighter tomorrow by providing range of bereavement support services. These include support groups, activities, trips, and short breaks, as well as key information and guidance through our social networking sites, website and podcast.
All services aim to promote wellbeing, build confidence and self-esteem and reduce the feeling of isolation and loneliness, by facilitating contact with others who have also suffered a bereavement. Created from personal experience and designed to be child centric Harry's Rainbow considers the whole family, ensuring that parents and care givers are involved and also supported as a result.
